Kalispell Regional Medical Center is an American Heart Association-designated Community Training Center (CTC). As a CTC, KRMC coordinates Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) for Northwest Montana. We support the American Heart Association's Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) mission "to reduce disability and death from cardiac and respiratory emergencies and stroke by improving the Chain of Survival in every community."

KRMC's CTC has over 120 trained instructors teaching basic and advanced life support to hundreds of Montanans each year. Our CTC instructors are committed to improving your chances of surviving a heart attack or other cardiac or respiratory emergency.

The Chain of Survival represents the steps that should be followed to improve survival from a stroke or cardiac event:

  1. Early Access (Call 911)
  2. Early CPR
  3. Early Defibrillation
  4. Early Advanced Care
